Handling the sticky situations at Job which maybe because of your superiors

How to handle this?

I will put to you a situation and I hope that you will understand. This is something that I have seen from a close distance, happening to my someone I know closely.

Having a boss who will listen understand guide and clarify is what helps produce good leaders and individuals who will in their capacity return the same to the next generation.

Having a boss who is not able to accept mistakes and develop compassion makes life difficult for the employees. A case at hand is what I saw recently happening from a close distance. The superior of my friend is a highly updated individual who knows in and out of the job at hand. In the process of gathering this information a lot of people believe that he has lost the thinking power, the ability to develop a working philosophy or have a structured thought process. He is focused on getting the details right missing out on the big picture of the job. Needless to say a lot of my friends believe that working for him becomes a painful experience because he is not bale to guide or direct! He ends up bullying any work which is done outside his non existent thought process and confuses all the more. And then .....He has sufficient powers to dispense people of their jobs in a jiffy! What more, lately there are complaints that he plagiarizes his subordinates' work and runs it along claiming to be his. My friends stuck under his yelling and daily howling have broken down, given up and moved on with a heavy heart.

What advise would you give to my friends?
