Mobile City Employees Receive Longevity Pay Bonus

All Full-time employees who are employed with the city for a least one year was supposed to receive a $1,000 longevity pay bonus on 12/14/12 just 11 day before Christmas.

Employees Receive Longevity Pay Bonus

It has been reported by most all local media in Mobile Alabama that fire department, police department and all city of Mobile full time employees received a $1000.00 longevity pay bonus before December 25, 2012 Christmas Day.

What isn’t being reported is how much employees would receive when they finally seen how much was direct deposited of the longevity pay bonus into their bank accounts.
All Mobile city employees that received a $1000.00 longevity pay bonus deposit minus $330.00 in taxes equaled to a longevity pay bonus of $670.00.

All Full-time employees who are employed with the city for a least one year was supposed to receive a $1,000 longevity pay bonus on 12/14/12 just 11 day before Christmas.

Those city employees who are employed part-time or full-time with the city of Mobile less than one year did not receive a $1000.00 longevity pay bonus before Christmas.
Mobile Public Library workers were also not included in receiving the $1000.00 longevity pay bonus.

The bonus is what the city leaders called a one time longevity pay because city employees have not received a raise in over five years.

The City of Mobile has 2,069 full-time employees who have been employed with the city at least one or more years of service.
