The first day of work is certainly quite stressful. We learn company’s codes. To pass this step without making a mistake, here are five behaviors to avoid unconditionally. This is a word of warning!

1. Staying behind

Do not ask questions, do not talk, do not care about your colleagues, do not be addicted ... No behaviors that will give your colleagues and your manager a bad impression. If you are shy, take on yourself

2. To be too familiar

it is good to know how to stay at your place the first day. Observe the functioning of the company and your colleagues. This will help you later. Moreover, too much familiarity could be seen as irritation.

3. Criticize your former employer

You should know that there is some solidarity between employers, but above all, it is not good to criticize your ex-company before your new managers. This can reveal a facet of your personality that could function as being too critical.

4. Talking about your private life

If you talk about your personal experiences, it helps to create links between members of a company. Talking too fast about private things can scare your new colleagues and turn against you. “He's a big fool”, “he's not serious”, “he's talking too much”, etc.

5. "Spreading out your science"

Taking people from the top and showing the full extent of your knowledge is likely to annoy or even attract jealousy. What is more, if you are "up-to-date" in your field and your colleagues are working in the old fashion? Try first to respect their way of doing things without commenting on them and taking advantage of them. You will have plenty of time to teach them things.
