The article is about two (2) documented professional letter that believed to be the finest of its kind ever written for the author.

Prologue

I made some post talking about how to make basic paintings and in some writing site I even discussed some cooking recipe I discover on my travels. This time though part of the JOB catergory and kin to résumé I am sharing the best letter i got from my character reference(s). The letters likely catches the attention of a hiring manager or human resources department to gave me an interview appointment.

From a Professor:

Dear Sir/ Madam:

This is to recommend Mr. Saigon De Manila
for his application in your Language Training Grant Scholarship

Mr. Saigon De Manila* a GRADUATE SCHOOL scholarship grantee of Congressional District under Hon. (Blocked) – Majority Floor Leader in the House of the Representative- is currently passing the degree of Master of Arts Specialized in Education of Exceptional Children (Med Sped). To a great extent, I feel confident of knowing him as he is enrolled in my class on Management & Organization of Special School, major course. He had shown a genuine commitment and leadership qualities owing to his maturity and advance management skills he gained in various professional trainings and experiences. He had shown exemplary attitude and desire to be an agent of change and enhance education particularly for the marginalized children with disabilities. I admire his quality of thinking and thirst for knowledge for the furtherance of service to mankind.

Mr. De Manila had a commendable career plan and aptitude in using his current studies for the children with special needs (CSN). I believe his possible acquisition of another Language Training and proficiency would help him basically on his Thesis preparation and future application if he intends to research in any Southeast Asian country or population sample of his choosing that would require the language, especially on current trends and educational needs on exceptional children. It is paramount that he be equipped and able capable of bridging a medium of communication to transmit and impart pedagogue through useful language. In addition, I am convinced that he would have the right edge in building effective communication in advancing his erudite objective to teach, guide, help and mentor generations of Exceptional Children of various handicap conditions. As his Professor and academe member of this field, his request of new skill to reach out on his targeted students is a definite advantage.
I highly recommend him under the auspices of your Foundation.

Sincerely yours,

DR. (blocked), PhD sgd.
Academic Adviser

From a Pastor:

Sir:

I have a friend, a neighbor and a brother in the faith whose name is Saigon De Manila. He believes in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for us and has given us eternal life. He also frequently attends our church services on Sundays together with his son. There are times when he is in need and he comes to me for a solution of his problem but from my experience, I never tried to withhold anything because he remembers to settle or pay his accounts. This is one good trait of a person I want to fellowship or deal with. Its hard to be over confident with someone who can not be trusted especially with money. Chances are he may be found disloyal even to the church where he is a member, and he would find himself rejected by the other brethren. By God’s help, I believe that if he gets employed in your establishment, he might prove worthy of my recommendation.

Respectfully,

(blocked) (sgd)
Senior Pastor
Gladiola Missionary Baptist Church

Postscript:

The preceding letters are all original and really moved me than it was originally intended for. Not everyone is impressed by this cover letter though because either the recipient didn't read it or not interested at all because the cover letter and CV are enough to validate the person being endorsed. The First letter came from a former US Full Bright Scholar and currently a State University Professor in the Philippines. The Second letter was from the Church Pastor this author had been attending since 20 years ago. Letter was requested as part of a pre-interview requirement in an International Christian School
