When looking for a job there are many things to consider. The process of growing as you learn about yourself and others will be an adventure, bringing you the knowledge an understanding of who and what you are able to be. By doing your best with steadfast determination you will develop a self discipline and respect for yourself and those around you. searching for and creating opportunity is best. Keep studying and building your skills. Treat yourself and those around you with respect .

The Unwanted Job

I often get asked why anyone would do many of the jobs displayed in my portfolio. One of my answers is ;the challenge brings rewards that last longer then the money. In fact many clients, payed me no more then experience and gratitude or the knowledge, that someone had been helped. Others were so extreme, that they changed my way of understanding. This is a primary factor of why a job might appeal to me. I like the sense of strong memories created by the combination of physical, mental, and spiritual coordination and exertion. This is far away from being a description of how successful I am. Although the failures have also brought their own rewards. I know personal growth will keep luring, if not propelling me forward to the next adventure, maybe at least until enjoying my family becomes my most important adventure.

What do I want to be when I grow up?

When asked what my profession would be after graduation, there seemed to be no clear answer. It wasn't a matter of finding an occupation I liked. The answer was more of an understanding, regarding what would be fulfilling to my personal and professional growth. Making a difference in the world was very important to me. Science was my favorite course of study, as well as drafting. Art was a part of me but ;it was not what I would consider an educational course, because since the age of seven, there was a pencil or pen in my hand sketching out pictures on paper. I liked working hard and solving problems. Sitting around waiting for something to happen was not my idea of fun. Looking back at myself ;it probably appeared to most people that jumping off a cliff to see what would happen, was a likely path for me. At fiteen; my adult mentors assured me that there was nothing to worry about. At my age there was plenty of time to explore, as some people need more time to decide on a career. My decision was made, I would start trying different jobs until
one suited me.

The Young Business Man

When Mr. and Mrs. Strand asked me to cut lawns at their apartments, I never would have guessed the outcome. Soon after Mr. knight called, then Mr.Densloe, and many more. At age fifteen my first business was born.Three young subcontractors were now working for me, cutting grass with my equipment. I was now able to start doing minor maintenance; like painting, replacing torn screens and broken glass. This experience became a solid foundation for earning income and working with others in order to build my future character and personality. I discovered how much fun helping others could be. Earning money for helping others was nice too. Don't wait for opportunity, search it out.

The Skilled Trades Market

After many years of trades and craft; I have customers who still call me first to help them with their problems. Some are grown children of my original customers and fortunately for me word of mouth still seems to be the best advertisement, for providing new customers. Most of my mentors have been employers and many of my closest friends have called me, in the earliest hours of the morning to solve major problems. Yes I may mutter and whine a little getting dressed but ;once I see their face and know I am helping, a warm feeling grows inside of me and my smile greets them with a matching glow. My cup may not be overflowing, but it has never been empty. Today there are companies that coordinate employment of skilled laborers, craftsmen and contractors on large jobs, who live close to the site. These companies help reduce subsistence that would have been paid to workers traveling long distances and sleeping in motels. Once you're on the call list of one or more of these companies; you are able to pick and choose the assignments you accept. It is important that you research and make sure they are fair and reputable. Personally I prefer working directly with property or business owners. But the timing of these jobs are dependent upon customer needs, not my own. The market and technology are constantly changing ,so it is important to keep track of current events.

Respect and Contribution

Always be respectful of yourself and others. Positive efforts of attitude, determination, and honesty will always be shared with the friends and families of those you work for.

I have found a common phenomena in your articles Duit... 'A great humane touch' -
Most of all, you've got a good crying heart somewhere inside of you!
I wonder if that's what we look alike....
I can't write like you, but I understand the tune you are playing.

Rezaul I am a crying soul doing my best to live a prayer that human words can not express. I say live because each day is completed in steps one at a time, and crying because it is the only natural language that draws from every part of me. Thank You for caring and sharing.
